Mercury and May Wanderers' veteran defender Ryan Bishop has been rushed to hospital today after suffering a stroke. He had been due to train with the Mercury side this morning as part of their World Cup preparations, with the first warm-up game against Lakkvia coming on Wednesday.
Bishop is in a stable condition in Dentley General Infirmary and is expected to make a full recovery, but he will sadly miss the trip to Birgeshir, and may not be able to play again.
